Biscuit's Journey : A Proper Little Character in the Making

Biscuit, our lively Cocker Spaniel, has been part of the Kugae Gundogs team since he was just 17 weeks old. In and out of residential training from a young age, he’s now just over a year old and has truly grown into his own — a proper little character with a big personality.

Training from an Early Age

From the moment Biscuit arrived, his energy and enthusiasm were clear to see. Like many young spaniels, he had a mischievous streak — with a tendency to dash off the moment he caught an interesting scent. With consistent training and structure, that boundless energy has been channelled into focus and drive.

Over the months, Biscuit’s progress has been fantastic. He’s now steady and reliable, staying close even under gunfire and working beautifully in the field. He’s confident flushing birds and stays composed as they drop, showing real maturity for his age.

Family Ties and Familiar Faces

Biscuit’s brother, Chip, will be familiar to many who follow our YouTube channel, where both have featured throughout their training journey. The pair share the same sharp intelligence and natural ability, but Biscuit’s cheeky charm makes him stand out in his own right.

Calm, Loyal, and Sociable

What really makes Biscuit special is his temperament. He’s incredibly social with other dogs and thrives in any environment — even under pressure. His loyalty and responsiveness make him a joy to handle, both in training and in the field.

Watching Biscuit develop has been a rewarding journey. He’s a testament to what structured, positive training can achieve, and we’re proud of the confident young spaniel he’s become.
